Welcome to The Bowtique Mama blog pages. My name is Tatiana Stout and I am the owner of The Bowtique Mama.

The Bowtique Mama began at my kitchen counter. I had long been making bows for my daughter. (In fact, my friends might tell you I bred for bows.)

A friend of mine was having a baby and I decided to make her a starter set of bows for her new little one. When my husband came home that evening, he told me they looked good enough to sell. He may or may not have been serious; but given my role as a stay-at-home mom, I decided his idea could be fun.

This is a very different role for me. Prior to staying at home with my children, I was a third grade teacher. Nothing is more important to me than the family I have been blessed with; I have loved everyday I have been given to stay home with my children. Making bows; however, gives me a little fun just for me and sometimes my daughter benefits too!

I am learning everyday how to grow my "business." If anything, this experience has certainly helped me to understand my husband better. He is a small business owner, and I am getting a glimpse of the decisions he faces everyday. I value your opinions and feedback; please feel free to share them!
