Common Questions

1.  Will you make a set in a different color for me?  Absolutely!  I welcome custom orders and will work with you to create the perfect set.  If you can dream it up, I'm most happy to do it!

2.  Does it cost extra if you customize something?   No.  I will change color, ribbon, fabric, etc. at no additional charge as long as it is something I have in stock (and I have A LOT) to choose from.  If you have something specific you want me to make that requires me to purchase new fabric, ribbon, etc.  I will charge you a small fee for the purchase of your materials.

3.  How long will it take to get my order?  It depends on the size of your order and how many orders I have at the time.  I strive to have all orders made and to the post office within three-six business days.   If you need your order sooner, please let me know in your checkout instructions and I will do everything I can to have it ready by the date you need it.  Standard shipping takes 2-5 days.  Expedited shipping is available; convo me on Etsy to discuss expedited shipping prices.

4.  Who makes my order?  I do.  Each order is handmade by me after you order.   NOTHING is mass produced which allows me to customize any set to your desires.

5.  Can I get this in a different sleeve length (sleeveless, short sleeve, long sleeve)?  Absolutely!  If you are ordering a sleeve length that is out of season (for example, sleeveless in the middle of winter), please check with me first to be sure I have the size you need.

6.  Where did you learn to make your bows?  I used to be in awe of the bows my mom would create for our Christmas presents.  One day, she taught me how to make them.  From there on, it has all been trial and error.  I haven't taken any classes, I just love to play with ribbon.

7.  How can I make the corker/corkscrew ribbon?  Preheat your oven to 275 degrees.  Cut strips of ribbon to your desired length and soak them in water along with a wood spoon or dowel.  (Make sure your wood is soaking wet.)  Wrap the ribbon around the spoon or dowel tightly so it overlaps slightly.  Pin your ribbon and place the spoon/dowel on a baking sheet.  Bake for about 20 minutes until the ribbon is dry.  Allow to cool and remove the pin.

8.  Is all your stuff for babies?  No, but I do REALLY love babies.  Any set you see for a newborn or baby can be made on a shirt for a girl too.  My daughter is three-years-old and has most of my sets.

9.  What about boys?  Since Bows are kind of "my thing,"  most sets are for girls.  However, any of my monogrammed shirts can be made using a different fabric for a boy, as well as my burp cloths.  The Bowtique Mama loves boys too; just ask my son!

10.  Where can I order a set and see your prices?  Please visit me on my Etsy site:

11.  I saw something on your blog, but can't find the listing on Etsy.  How do I order it?  Not all of the items you see on my blog are listed on Etsy.  Etsy charges me for each listing, so I usually try to list the items I feel most confident about.  If you saw something on my blog you like and want me to make it, contact me directly using the phone number or e-mail above; I'd be happy to make it for you.

12.  Why are your titles for your Etsy listings so long?  I know; it's a little silly, isn't it?  Recently Etsy changed their policies for how listing titles come up in search results.  In order to maximize my opportunity to be viewed in a search result, my titles need to have as many key words as possible.

Have other questions?  Shoot me an e-mail at m-tstout@sbcglobal.net; I'd be happy to answer it.  Thanks!
